Just because it's short doesn't mean she wasn't desperate. Some women (and men) just have smaller bladders than others. If you can hold more than 150-200 ml the medical profession class you as functional and will rarely operate unless you pay them. On the other hand I have heard verified claims of 4 litres and unverified claims of 5l (although, to be fair, the women who push to these extremes will probably get big problems once they turn 40). In any case, the natural variation is clearly HUGE.
